Qld:Senior minister flies into Ingham to oversee flood relief

A senior minister is flying into the north Queensland flood zone this morning to oversee
the federal government's response to the disaster.

Small Business Minister CRAIG EMERSON will be hoping to cut red tape for victims to
make sure relied is delivered as quickly as possible.

Mr EMERSON will work closely with the Queensland government to make sure any additional
requests for help are fast-tracked.

The Herbert River at Ingham is expected to fall to eight metres by noon today .. allowing
major cleanup operations to begin.
