George Karl, former coach of the Albany Patroons, said he believes there is a good chance he will be named the new head coach of the National Basketball Association's Seattle SuperSonics.
"It's not a done deal but it looks good," Karl said Monday afternoon by phone from his home in Madrid, Spain.
USA Today reported Monday that Karl had reached an agreement with the Sonics to coach the rest of this season and next year. But Karl said that hasn't happened yet.
